Exaudi is the winner of the 2009 National Eisteddfod Choral Championships where they also placed first in the Sacred, Contemporary and Australian-British sections.
Exaudi takes its name from the Latin word meaning” listen to us” or “understand us”. Founded by Claire Preston and Robert Stewart, the choir seeks to “fill the gap” between choristers’ experiences in their community children’s choir or school groups and adult community choirs. Singers are aged between 18 and 28. Our focus is on presenting music at a high quality standard- particularly commissioning works from established and new Australian composers.
We rehearse at Richmond Uniting Church, 314 Church St, Richmond, VIC. 7:30-9:30pm on Mondays. We have an open door policy and welcome conductors and potential members to observe a rehearsal- contact us for details.
