Description: 
The Canberra Choral Society (CCS) welcomes the festive season with 'A Handel Celebration', a Come and Sing concert, in Llewellyn Hall, Canberra. Featuring glorious music from George Frideric Handel's greatest operas, oratorios, odes and anthems, including the much loved coronation anthem Zadok the Priest, dramatic and uplifting choruses from oratorios like Messiah, Israel in Egypt, Saul, Theodora, Hercules, Athalia, and Judas Maccabeus and moving arias from the operas Julius Caesar, Rinaldo and Alcina.Baroque specialist and Artistic Director of Pinchgut Opera, Erin Helyard, will direct the performance. Joining him on stage are highly accomplished French Soprano Myriam Arbouz, a 160-voice choir of CCS and guest singers from the Canberra community, and a professional orchestra sourced from Canberra's finest players.
