Serenata Singers, a community SATB choir based at The Gap, Brisbane, is seeking to appoint a new Accompanist to commence at the start of 2026. This vacancy is due to our current Accompanist of 6 years needing to finish up for personal reasons at the end of 2025.
Established over 50 years ago, our non-auditioned choir currently has a membership of about 40 choristers. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening from 7 to 9pm. The varied choir repertoire is selected from music theatre, contemporary, folk, jazz, spirituals, classics, and country and western music.
A mixture of mid-week and weekend performances are generally held throughout the year (at least monthly) at retirement villages and other venues. The annual highlight is a fund-raising Gala Concert held later in the year in conjunction with the Ashgrove/The Gap Lions Club.
