JOIN THE UPBEAT ARTS TEAM – BUNDABERG
Upbeat Arts is seeking an exceptional Choir Piano Accompanist to work with our new Bundaberg Choir. This role supports our Conductor in fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and contributing to the artistic and personal development of our members.
WHO IS UPBEAT ARTS?
Upbeat Arts provides group-based recovery programs tailored for long-term clients of Queensland Mental Health services, focusing on enhancing confidence, self-esteem, communication, and life skills. Our arts programs foster social connections, positive mental health, and overall well-being. Singing in an Upbeat Arts choir offers our members a supportive and enjoyable environment to connect with like-minded individuals.
We’re a non-government, non-clinical organisation committed to changing lives through the arts. We launched our first choir in Brisbane in 2014 and now have choirs in North Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. We also hold two creative writing workshops each week.
YOUR ROLE
As an Upbeat Arts Accompanist, you will bring your musical skills to the team, and you’ll be collaborating closely with our Conductor. Upbeat Arts manages the operational aspects of the choir, including member and volunteer recruitment, communication, record-keeping, and all other logistical needs essential for sustaining a choir.
No two rehearsals will be the same, as you work with our team and our dedicated choir members and volunteer buddies.
Together, we pursue exciting performance opportunities, which you will help the choir prepare for.
DAYS AND TIMES
If you feel you meet all or most of the criteria, and are genuinely excited about playing for our Bundaberg choir and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through music, we encourage you to apply.
Thank you for your interest in joining the Upbeat Arts team. We look forward to discovering how you can bring your unique talents to Upbeat Arts and help us continue our mission of enhancing lives through music!
