First Wave: The Weaving of Spirit & Song
Join Kalliope on the Shore for a unique concert experience that brings an original creation story to life through choral music, spoken word, and ambient electronic soundscapes.

Including a  world premiere of new works, the performance features a mix of modern and traditional choral works, combined with sacred electronica to create an atmosphere that is reflective, moving, and thought-provoking. Visuals of local natural environments will accompany the music, helping to set the scene and connect the audience to place.

Performed by the Tweed Coast Women’s Voice Ensemble Kalliope On The Shore, directed by Helen Bub-Connor, First Wave explores themes of birth, spirit, and the search for meaning through a contemporary lens.

The concert takes place at the Pottsville Environment Centre, a fitting setting for a work that draws inspiration from the natural world. Audiences can expect an immersive and heartfelt experience, with time afterward to connect over light refreshments.
