The Argyle Orchestra & Choir Inc.
A community event for “People’s Messiah” is happening in Hobart this November. The event is anticipating and hoping for over 200 members of the public to participate in a weekend of rehearsals, followed by a public performance at the City Hall on 22/23 November.
The event organiser, Argyle Orchestra&Choir Inc. says “We have previously seen successful performances of the well known Handel’s Messiah. This will be the first time in ten years in Hobart that there will be an opportunity for members of the general public who love this classical favorite to get involved in this famous and well loved work. We hope for people to join in and bring their voice and enthusiasm! All voices are welcome, there is no prior experience necessary.”
The event will be conducted by renowned composer and conductor Simon Reade and celebrated local soloists to joining in.
