Now in their 14th year, THECHO!R offers another exciting, diverse range of performance opportunities, from popular music, world music, musicals to new works. Conducted under the direction of Jonathon Welch AM as Artistic Director and Patrick Burns as Chief Conductor.
We'd love you to join us! Our repertoire is eclectic with recent concerts ranging from a broad style of classical to music theatre, gospel, a capella and pop ie from Bohemian Rhapsody to Hallelujah Chorus
THECHO!R aims for the highest possible standards of musical and vocal excellence, with great emphasis placed on building skill in all aspects of choral performance, with particular focus on teaching vocal technique. New members are welcome to "come and try" for the first 3 rehearsals before joining, and fees are kept to a minimum to be as inclusive as possible. THECHO!R members have also toured nationally (Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney) and internationally (Uganda, Rome, London, Boston and New York). They have performed on the BRAVO Cruise and many of the world's greatest concert halls including Sydney Opera House, Hamer Hall Melbourne, Royal Albert Hall, London and Carnegie Hall, New York.
