BRUNSWICK WOMEN'S CHOIR Musical director: Cathy Nixon. The BWC was conceived in 1991 with an enduring vision for a space where women could come together to create power and beauty through song. The choir sings about peace and justice, love and anger, beauty and promise. Our songs reflect the passions, sorrows and triumphs of life. Our musical repertoire, take us any where from folk to funk with musical inspiration taken from a variety of cultures around the globe. The choir is engaged in gigs and workshops and holds an annual concert. Commitment to choir involves attendance to regular rehearsals and a weekend intensive held once a year. The Brunswick Women's Choir is an incorporated association collaboratively run by a Committee of Management, the Choir Director, a paid Administrator (x6hrs pw), and volunteer working groups made up of choir members. FAQS The choir is all female and maintains a maximum number of approximately forty members. No audition is required, however we do have a waiting list, Rehearsals: take place Monday nights in Brunswick from 7.30pm to 10:00pm and follow the school terms. Fees per term: Full $140.00 / $115.50 / Conc $78.00
