Choir of High Hopes

Our Mission Restoring Lives Through Song How the Choir started. The Journey so far ... The Choir was formed in October 2007 by Jenny Chapman, in response to the TV documentary ?Choir of Hard Knocks'. Jenny met Jonathon Welch who introduced her to RecLink, the organisation behind the now famous, Choir of Hard Knocks, and Jenny found many willing volunteers who helped her establish and run the Choir. As a consequence of this performance, the Choir has received invitations to perform for the rest of the 2008. The Choir of High Hopes first performed Christmas Carols in the Elizabeth St Mall in Hobart, just six weeks after their first rehearsal. After a break over that Christmas the Choir began rehearsing in earnest for its launch concert in the Theatre Royal on 8th April 2008. This sell-out concert included Jonathon Welch as guest artist and the Launceston Choir of High Hopes. Where we rehearse.
