Description: | Voices of Birralee will run a series of conducting workshops at five locations around South-East Queensland. Join leading Australian conductor Paul Holley for an interactive workshop where participants will be able to learn conducting techniques beyond just a beat pattern and how to incorporate rehearsal techniques into conducting gestures. You will learn how to use gesture to create the musical phrasing and choral sound you want to hear in a variety of styles of music. Please note this is not a masterclass where people are expected to conduct in front of the group. Everyone will be working at the same time. Paul is well known as a skilful practitioner and for his ability to teach in an encouraging and engaging environment.
