    Description: Oriana Sings - Mozart Vespers and songs of Ola Gjeilo
    Acclaimed Sunshine Coast ensemble Oriana Choir will present their first concert for 2023, Oriana Sings Mozart Vespers and the Music of Ola Gjeilo, conducted by Kim Kirkman and accompanied by Fay Baker piano and a string quartet, April 23 at Maleny Community Centre, April 29 at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane and April 30 at Stella Maris School, Maroochydore.

    Mozart Vespers is a masterpiece of profoundly expressive and lyrical composition with shining, brilliant baroque allegros. Contemporary Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo is one of the most frequently performed composers in the choral world, his emotionally charged compositions admired for their hauntingly beautiful melodies and harmonies, moving lyrics and sparkling accompaniments.

    This concert series will be dedicated in memory of our much loved member Alan Mackay-Sim.
