Description:	Canticum Chamber Choir, conductor Emily Cox AM, present Arvo Pärt’s luminous and majestic Te Deum for choir and orchestra, framed by jubilant motets by J S Bach – Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied (BWV 225) and Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden (BWV 230). Arvo Pärt’s music, even in its minimalism, resonates strongly with the music of JS Bach despite the centuries that separate them. In this, Pärt’s 90th birthday year, the 40th anniversary of the Te Deum, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of this acclaimed ensemble, Canticum celebrates with these two composers close to its heart. We warmly welcome Camerata – Queensland's Chamber Orchestra – as our orchestra for this event, which is part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics 2025.
